Alwarren triaged this task as Unbreak Now! priority.

get in/out memory points are missing, you'll spawn mid air when you get out

track shadow doesnt match physical track's movement (look at the front of the track)

I guess the shadow LOD is missing the selections... I didn't make that one, I probably should go over it.
What have I done. *chuckle* I'm in danger

Geez, turns out there wasn't a hole in the periscope, but rather the camera point was so low that it clipped through the top armour and showed interior

Water PhysX seems to be an engine issue, it also gets stuck in continuous curve...
Turret-less version will come later

PhysX configuration could really use some refactoring.

The major problem is that the vehicle prone to rolling over when it least expected, for instance

  • slightly turning to sides when rolling down hill
  • entering water surface - I suggest disabling amphibious capability because right now it's almost guaranteed loss of a vehicle.

On top of that, there are other minor issues:

  • the suspension doesn't balances back after an abrupt braking, the thing stays titled frontward
  • setting vehicle weight to 8 tons with setWeight command causes it to barely move as if it loses traction with the ground
  • generally doesn't handle turning very well, especially while backing uphill

Unrelated to PhysX — the turret MG can be raised way too high, to almost 85 degrees, clipping through the turret's roof.

Make turret-less ambulance version
This can also be a civilian version - those are freely available in Russia and sometimes used by hunters or those living in northern Russia. They usually come in Russian Green paint (already present in CUP).

vehicles going out of control when entering water is an engine issue, only happens if you're steering when entering the water.

There's a relatively major PhysX issue - the MTLB accelerates when going uphill, without any input from player, as if it's going downhill.
I can release the [W] button and the thing will still accelerate until it reaches its max speed.

On the side note, MT-LB should not have the built-in GPS.

thats physx being a cunt, unlikely it will be resolved.

as for the second bit i think that's default for all vehicles

Can we just say, pull BMP-1 physx on the MT-LB and call it a day?

I was told it's a config entry, isn't it? It would probably be a good idea to remove GPS from outdated vehicles like T-55, MTLB, M60 and so on. 🤔

we can work around it, usually its just low priority to fix it

what i meant is that the component is given by default to all vehicles (for gameplay reasons i presume), but should be removable.

I thought it was linked to whether or not you had a GPS on your character.

theres also a vehicle component that does the same thing

If the vehicle had that disabled, but your character had a GPS on them would you still be able to bring up the GPS in the vehicle? Cause in that scenario it'd makes sense.

Sadly, no. You cannot copy PhysX configs between vehicles. even if you'd think they'd be 100% the same, the result will be a mess. PhysX has to be done from scratch for each and every vehicle. One more reason why we all love it so much.
