Multiple issues and inconsistencies with all XM8 rifles.
Needs Review, Needs TriagePublic

Description

  • This is, in my opinion, the biggest issue, but all of the guns seem to fire WAY too slowly. The real XM8 and Arma 2’s XM8 rifles fire 750 rounds per minute; these ones fire something close to 500 at most.
  • XM8 Carbine (rail) has a bottom rail but there aren't any bipods that can be attached to it. I'm presuming that you should be able to (if the CUP team members who worked on weapons intended that to be a function), so I'm pointing out that it isn't possible to do.
  • In Arma 2: Private Military Company, you could use night vision (and I think thermal as well) with the XM8 rifles' built-in magnified scopes (the ones on the regular XM8 carbine, the XM8 automatic rifle and the sharpshooter rifle), but you can't use either with CUP's XM8s. The ISM optic on the XM8 + M320, the XM8 Compact, and the XM8 CQC function just fine with night vision goggles but not with thermal vision modes.
  • The XM8 underbarrel flashlight mounts on the sides of the guns, and not under the barrel like they did in Arma 2: Private Military Company.
  • The M320 grenade launcher on the XM8 + M320 is listed as "M203" in the weapon info bar when the grenade launcher is toggles. Also, aiming it clips through the body of the rifle.

the fire rate was changed recently in our internal version

the fire rate was changed recently in our internal version

I take it the internal is the unpublished version? I'm playing the current build and using the railed XM8 in a CTI scenario, but both the burst fire and fully automatic firing modes fire sort of sluggishly.

yes, the internal is not published yet

Please pardon my impudence, for I am trying to ask in the most polite way possible, but what about the other things I itemized? Will those be dealt with?

in due time, yes
